Weddings Receptions
Groove Instinct have over 6 years direct experience performing at & helping arrange weddings. We understand each wedding is different & very personal to the bride & groom, so we taylor our service to work for each client individually.
As part of our service we use our experience to help make your night a success & a night you & all your guests wont forget. here are a few key points that will contribute to the success of a great wedding.
- Set Times - Getting the set time right is key to getting the full potential from any live act
- Venue - The location of the band within the venue is very important, if your venue is within a reasonable distance we will happily make a visit to see it and offer any advice
- Set List - We can arrange our set list to suit the age range of audience.
- Set Up Times - We will work around your current schedule to avoid setting up during meals & speeches
- DJ service - We provide a DJ service which will work alongside the band, we help arrange the playlist & start / finish times for the DJ
- Full Public Liability insurance up to £10million & fully PAT tested equipment
We also provide a fully trained & qualified sound & lighting engineer to ensure the band sounds & looks fantastic 100% of the time, this means no matter how large or small your venue we install a state of the art PA & Lighting system which will transform the staging area and create an atmospheric, vibrant energy that will get all your guests into the party spirit & ready to enjoy the night.
Birthday Parties
Much or our work is performing at birthdays, it may be an 18th, 21st, 30th, 50th, 60th we have played at them all & love nothing more than to get everyone in the party vibe and to help celebrate the occasion in style. We are happy to learn requested songs, perform a party set & provide a top class DJ. Our lighting will help create an amazing atmosphere & we will provide all the PA equipment with a fully trained & qualified sound & lighting engineer.
No matter what scale you plan to have your party we can help make it a success.

Band Line Up Options & Pricing
At Groove Instinct we have looked into our pricing and how we can reduce costs, we now have an extremely competitive price for the service we provide.
Questions & Answers
To help cover any confusion and answer any questions you may have with regards to booking a live band & what to expect from a live band we have listed some popular Q&A below:
Q: How much space does Groove Instinct require & how long does it take to set up
A: As a guide we ask for a stage space of 6x4 meters or more, this does not need to be a raised stage, we are happy to work from the ground level, also we understand that providing this space is not always possible & we can fit into smaller spaces, realistically if you can fit a drum kit into the proposed area & have room to comfortably walk around it we will can make do, sometimes it may be worth us visiting the venue or where a visit is not possible seeing pictures of the staging area in advance of the booking.
With regards to our set up time, this varies depending upon the load in access, if the load in is straight forward (No stairs, lifts or long distances to move equipment) we can be set up from arrival in 1.5 hours, however if there are lots of obstacles to tackle this time may vary. Its important to let us know in advance if your venue has a restricted load in access.
Q: What deposit do Groove Instinct require
A: We take a flat fee of £300, the remaining balance is then due either in cash on the night after or before the 1st band set or via a bank transfer 4 working days before the event (It must be cleared in our account the morning of the event).
Q: Do we need to provided the band with anything on the night
A: We ask for a secure room to get changed and store our personal belongings whilst on stage & hot meals + soft drinks for all the band & sound engineer working on the night. Its important for any band to have food as we can end up working long hours with little breaks. Its also important for 4 parking spaces to be reserved for the band (1 of which is a high roofed van).
Q: Our venue has a noise limiter, is this a problem
A: In short yes this can be a big problem & potentially ruin an event, we need to know what decibel level the noise limiter is set at and what form of noise limiter the venue has. Its very important to let us know about this before booking the band as it may not be possible to perform under the restrictions of the noise limiter.
Q: How long do Groove Instinct perform for & do you provide a DJ
A: Groove Instinct typically perform 2 x 1hour sets, we can play for longer though & pricing for additional sets can be found on our pricing page. We provide a DJ as standard and this works around our live band sets, again additional DJ sets are available upon request.
